The Art To Become Invisible

My fairy man, we both know
the art to become invisible
For we’ve learned it long time ago
when we were out in the dark woods
and other creatures attacked us

And sometimes, we still use it
to protect ourselves
We sprinkle our magic powder
and within an eye blink
we disappear into our fairy tales
drift away into our dreams

We keep silent
Invisible and transparent
like ghosts
The page stays blank
and can’t catch our words

But even though, no one
in the woods can see us
You always see me
I always see you
We’re never invisible to each other
as we see through the love
in our hearts

It’s Lonely Behind Glass

And sometimes it feels like
I am behind mirroring glass
I listen, I see, I hear
People project on me
see their own stories
on my surface
talk with themselves
but do they see me

My love, can you see me
can you see through the glass
and dissolve the loneliness
with the deep reach of your eyes
and the ears of your loving heart

The Bird Has Left His Cage

The bird has left his cage
of the past,
as he broke free from the bars
of darkness and sadness
and now he sits on a branch
to sing for the world
his true heart song
of love, hope and joy

And sometimes,
his own bright light
still feels a bit uncomfortable
the blue sky is so open,
intense and so free
and he wants to fly back
to his cage
to his comfort zone
but then love, his own heart
reminds him that
things have changed
and it’s not where
he’s meant to be

Choosing Joy Over Fear

When in life there have been
so many experiences of hurt
it is not always easy to walk
with open heart and in faith

But whenever I get triggered
and fears and
hopeless thoughts arise
I take a deep breath
and I choose
love, trust and joy over fear
As I see us walking
this journey together
I choose to be happy
not just for you or for me
but for us both

I come to you
in the shape of a robin
right by your side
Whatever happens
I continue to sing you
my heart songs
I sing you straight through
the winter cold
and warm you with passion
I bring a promise of hope
And when you feel dead inside

Senses

And he said:

for you can’t see me
and my body isn’t there for you
to touch
But what if you would use your senses
in a different sequence
If you would first sense with your heart
to feel me,
if you would use your sixth sense
to connect
And then would use your eyes,
your ears, your taste, your smell,
your touch
would you then perceive me
would you sense me,
right by your side

Since I Miss You

I could miss someone
after a goodbye
I could miss the sun
on a cloudy day
I could miss Summer
when Autumn arrived
I missed loved ones
when they died

But still, I didn’t know
a depth of missing
so raw and painful
as if the other half of me
has been cut off
For I only truly know
what missing is
since I came to miss you

Ascension

We climb the mountain together
step by step we go higher
closer to the sun

And as we ascend
our minds, our feet
may lose their grip
and it may look like
we fall deep
back to lower grounds

But we have the fixed
rope of love that secures us
that gives us a hold
We always have
each other’s back

And if we would look
from above
we would see our
upward progress
We would see that
eventually, we’ll reach
the top

Validation

The ego, the mind
seeks validation
It wants to be acknowledged
It wants to have proof
and confirmation
It wants to get
a written and signed ‘I love you’
to have an award,
a title, or Grammy
that says that it is worthy
it is loved and validated

Though the soul knows
true validation
can only be found
within one’s own heart

Why Love Can’t Leave My Poetry

Words come and go
Emotions flow
through my lines
Subjects change
But you and love
are always there
are always present
in my poems

You witness
Love observes
You are woven
into every verse
You are the muse
Love the ink
with which I write
You are the breath
that breathes
each poem alive

Without you,
without love
there wouldn’t
be poetry at all

She’d like to hide in a corner
so life wouldn’t see her
and could not hurt her no more
But why then keeps
her soul pushing her to go out

Is it love, is it her beloved that keeps
whispering inside not to give up
Simply, because she wasn’t made
for the shades
but she and he are made
for the light?

And…. cut!

The two lovers of true love
take a break from their earthly movie
and meet in a higher realm

And he said:
“What is the matter my sexy sweetie?”

She said:
“Well, my cutest cutie,
I don’t feel that sexy anymore
I am exhausted, I am in pain
I want to leave that crazy
earthly movie we are in
I am done with our egos,
with the roles we play
with the crazy story
It all hurts too much, as if it is real

My ego gets triggered by your ego
by what you do and don’t do
as it longs for validation
Can’t we just leave the earthly plain
and stay here forever melted
in each other’s arms”

“I know, my sweetie, I know
we have tough karma,
tough darkness to clear
but we signed up for this
we’re together on a mission
the harder the path is
the brighter our love will shine

Like this, I always hold you
when we’re back on earth again
just close your eyes
to feel my arms around you
how I continue to whisper
sweet words of love
into your heart

Don’t get so much caught up
in the illusion of the movie
don’t think the movie on earth is real
We play our roles
to help each other heal
But we are not our roles, not our egos
we are the actors, the soul behind it

Pay It Forward

On this freezing early morning
I ride my bike through the city streets
It’s still half dark, the day
has not yet fully awakened
The drops of an ice cold fog
bite my cheeks

But while my legs battle
their way up the hill
I hear your whisper of love inside
like a gentle caress and then,
I warm up, I brightly smile
A smile, that visibly warms
the hearts of others
that catch its rays
as I pay love forward

I don’t demand anything
I don’t expect you

as for that,

The rose doesn’t demand sunlight
but is grateful for any light
the sun shines upon her
