Vulnerable it feels
Breakable almost
Like a chick that steps
out of its egg
into a big,
overwhelming world

You put your heart to sleep
for so long
Safely in a box

But when our eyes met
it awakened
And now it wants to break free
For what it has seen
has renewed its hope

to shine my light
So your heart finds the place to land?

Do you want me to heal my own fears
And if I heal mine
I help you heal yours?

All day long

Through the line

Each step you take
here in my land
May you feel me

From the sea in the west
to the woods in the east
The waters in the north
The hills in the south

May you hear

May each town welcome you
As though they are
my wide open arms

Here in my land
Where snow is falling
A cold wind is blowing
May you feel my warmth

May my land be your land
The sky the roof

Your Soul Came Out Of Your Eyes

When you stood before me
And I looked you into your eyes
Your soul came out
And I saw
so much beauty
so much depth
all the treasures of your heart

I saw you for who you truly are
All the facets of your diamond
All the rays of your light

I can’t unseen what I have seen
Although sometimes
you don’t want me to see that much

For I see all of you
I see what nobody sees
Even with my eyes closed
And from a far

But maybe it is not me that sees
too much
but it is you that sees too little
when you look at yourself

A Wooden Doll

The muscles of my back and neck
are stiff and aching
I’m like a wooden doll
and can’t move no more

I am trapped in my body
Stuck on my bed
The tides that have thrown
a fish onto the land
And the fish has nowhere to go

The only thing that is fluid is
the waves of sadness rolling
through me
My ocean of longing for you
And I can only dance my way out

Do you feel how the love flows
between us
Regardless where we are
This stream between your heart
and mine

How the love is stronger
and bigger
than any wall we may build

No continent that can split
No mile that can separate
No word that can block

Even if we build dams or fences
the love breaks through it
with its unstoppable force

Vividly you came to me
in my dream last night
You showed me a picture of a sun
And said that we work together
towards us
We just need to hold on
And we embraced, we kissed
passionately and tenderly
It felt so good in your arms

What You Read Is What You Get

I wrote about almost everything
Many taboos,
I broke them with my pen
I wrote about sex,
delicate subjects
And once I even wrote about farts

I wrote about the whole spectrum
of emotions
All the shades of love
Hidden corners of my mind
The landscape of my subconsciousness
It appeared on my paper

But, holy crap!
With no or little taboos left
I suddenly feel so naked!
Though now at least, it is all open and clear
And in my nude honesty
I am expressively free

Harmony

My guitar guy, please play me a song
Sing me our story
Let your strings move me to dance

And I will dance for you our story
I will let my body move you to play

And in harmony we will bring
Your voice, your fingers on strings
Your fingers on me,
my body, my movements
and then our story is flowing
in harmony between you and me

The Pure, Irish Woman

And far, far back in time
In the celtic lands
There was a woman
Her name was Caitlyn
Which means ‘pure’
She was a healer
As she had the gift
to heal others by her hands
And her special herbs

And one day they brought a man
to her
Who came injured
from the battlefield
She took care of him
And of his heart
with tenderness and love

She gave her special patient
A special treatment
As there was something in his eyes
That was so familiar,
so close to her heart

And the more the man healed
and got stronger
The more the passion and love
between the two
awakened

Shy kisses carefully given at first
Turned into fiery embraces
of naked bodies

She thought those moments
could be extended
into forever
As they dreamed shared dreams
of true lovers

But then one day
when she came home
The man had packed his things
And said that
now he was healed
He needed to return to his wife
With tears in his eyes
He said, he was so sorry

She was in shock, she was in pain
She was heart broken
They kissed one more time
And then he was gone

She could never forget
about the man
And kept longing

And he, although with his wife
could never forget about the eyes
and the hands of the pure Irish woman
That still came to visit him in his dreams

A few times she saw him on a market
Among his friends and his wife
She could only look at him
and love him from a distance

She was known
for her magical hands and herbs
Though her own wounded heart,
she could not heal
As now she longed for him to one day heal her

All the people that want your attention
Some even scream for it
And I am faceless in the crowd
Invisible almost

For I know
You will recognize me by heart
I never needed to seek
your attention
As your attention always found me

There’s Something About The Way She Loves Him

There’s something about the way
she loves him
It makes her eyes sparkle
Her voice sing
Her feet dance
And out of her writing hand
flows poem after poem

It makes her do things
She never had imagined
she would dare to
Playfully she has picked up
old and new dreams
And as well her guitar

There’s something about the way
she loves him
She paints it out in the open sky
And she shoots her stars
right into his heart
As she loves him
Like no one else could do

Signs

Every time when the journey gets hard
My heart feels heavy
Then, the angels step in
They show me signs and synchronicities
Like your name and initials everywhere
Even though, your name
is not from here
Number sequences like
1111, or 2222
They put white feathers in front of me
The sign I have asked them for
Or other things that remind me of you
To help me to have faith
and to believe

My dear angels make sure
that I can never forget
as all their signs direct
me to you

When I listened to you
It suddenly hit me
I felt your pain and your fear
You’re so, oh so afraid
to be abandoned once again

And so you abandon all the time
You abandon people and places
You go out of contact,
You run away, disappear
And wander restless
around in this world
You won’t stay anywhere long enough
You are the one that leaves
Instead of others leaving you

Your pain, your fears
We’re so much interrelated
I feel yours as though
they are mine
Your tears and my tears flow
together into a common river

I kiss your wounded heart, my love
Please can you then kiss mine
I dress it with my touch
May both hearts heal and know
In depth they are whole
and they beat as one
And therefore
can never be abandoned by each other

Trusting Love

I didn’t trust love
I wanted to control the river,
wanted to hold back or push the waters

I built dams, threw stones in it
And digged the sand out
to let the river change direction
I worked and acted
I did everything
to prevent me from being still

I thought I needed to earn
I needed to prove
And worked even harder
For me to deserve
the love I knew it was mine
but didn’t dare to own

Often I thought
the river wasn’t even real
And just a mirage in my mind
That could be taken away
from me anytime
And because I didn’t trust love
I didn’t trust you, I didn’t trust me

But now, oh beautiful river,
I don’t want to
control you any longer
Please flow
and I will trust
That true love will find its way
on its own always
to where it belongs

No Roof

Your mind projects
limitations and barriers
obstacles and blockages
As bars in front of you
And now you are caught
behind a fence
Trapped in a cage

But you don’t realize,
That if you would look up
You would see
There is no roof on it
And there is nothing holding you back
to let your heart climb
or fly out

I’m sorry for the times that I hurt you
For the times that I let the voice of ego speak
Instead of the voice of love
When I reacted to you from a place
of fear, doubt or impatience
Instead from a place of patient, trusting love

I’m sorry for the times I didn’t love myself enough
The times that I needed something from you
That in fact, I needed to give to myself

My love, your faces
Your sad eyes in black and white
And then behind in colour
the you that tries
to make fun of himself

The you, the cool man in jeans
with a guitar under his arm
And the you that shows
through his eyes his heart
among the green leaves
The playful you that let out
his inner child
and dances in the fields

I love all of your faces
As they all are an expression
of you
