My body
was in the hospital bed
but I didn’t know
where I was
Words were too much
Legs couldn’t carry me
I didn’t remember
Eyes were closed
most of the time
but when I opened
them
I looked through the window
and saw a tree
with a bird in there
Leaves moved
the bird moved
I didn’t move
Still, like dead
Days passed
I didn’t know
I floated away
out of time
but always back
to the tree
to see the bird
Was it you, my love
that had flown
across the ocean
to keep me alive

And it was dark before my eyes
no memory, no history
without a story all that was left
within
was the light, the moment
that opened
the heart to love
To be reborn
in innocence
in the light of Christmas

How close we are
when all those
miles of thoughts
between us
have been conquered
and hearts do
what they’re here for
as they take the lead
and leave nothing
between them but love

that is racing and aching
gasping for breath
is just missing and longing

with all that it’s got

what I don’t want
what I’m missing

The castle in the picture
whispers stories and dreams
and light-heartedly invites us
to come in
Do you remember?
Do you hear?
for whatever life did to us
and the scars it left on our skin

for a king and his queen

I’ve been absent for quite a while on my blog because I was very ill and was in the ICU. However, I don’t know anything about it as I was unconscious. At first, when I came back, I didn’t know who I was anymore and lost my memories. Luckily, those are coming back.
It’s still a rollercoaster and I need a lot of rest and care but at least and Thank God! I’m able to write again.
The Unfinished Story
Life was eclipsed
darkness covered the eyes
-I can’t even see
myself no more,
memories buried
mind, body gone
into nowhere land,
But then destiny,
the unfinished story
of you and me
sends me its sun

that make me die inside
every time
when fears and thoughts
disconnect me from you
only to find out
that in fact, love
never abandoned me

Lonely eyes look up
into the night
and ask the stars
to lift her up
out of the weight
of the stories,
the pain, the past,
the darkness on earth
and to reconnect her
to the bigger picture
of love

The morning dew
brings tears
to the world
A squirrel hops
across the grass
Birds sing longing songs
in the trees
And as I think of you
my arms reach up
towards the sky
through the fog
to catch the sun

I will be there, my love
at our fated meeting
I hear the calling
and respond
even if I have to walk
through dark nights
even if the road is long
and I have to climb mountains
even if I’m scared, exhausted
and disheartened
I will go on
and be there
when the church bells ring
when the day has come
that the stars align
on a date written in our hearts
when we have our appointment
I will show up
for myself, for you
for us

with soft whispers
of warm breath
on your skin
as fingers
trace lines
towards a
happy end

Mowers make a lot of noise
as they mow anything
that doesn’t serve no more
and cut away
old stories and thoughts
Until from within,
from stillness,
the song of free birds
can be heard again

but is always whole
as it is held together
by love

from the heavy weight
