Dear little crocus,

to make the earth burst

but you let your gentle strength,
your true nature
unfold itself
allowing, whispering

so vulnerable
feet can trample you
back into the dark
in an instant

the flower has already seen the light

In the stillness of the evening

The tree is bare
and is stripped from all
that doesn’t belong to it
It has let go
Meanwhile rooted
in all that is true
and nourishing
As it knows
only from nakedness
it can blossom and bloom

Planted Wishes

The flower bulbs under the ground
are yet safely held in winter’s rest
and gather their forces
before they will reach out
towards the sun
But if you listen carefully
you can already hear
their sweet voices
softly singing their song of spring

Where are you?
I’ve asked the wind to blow

But the wind, moving from
east to west
and north to south,
has no clue
where to find you
Maybe because
you are where the wind
cannot come
you’re in the untouched space
where love resides
you’re in me
in the eye of the storm

In the cocoon
the dark shows itself
in many shades
it holds threads
of the past
and yet the wings
of the future
It holds rest
it holds roots
it holds the many faces
of bad dreams
it holds the promise
of me and you

Because one day
when it’s time to fly
the dark will burst
and open
into colourful rays
