Your Name

Marieke,

I say your name
as if it is a prayer
with sincere intention
I let it find its way to you

Slowly and delicately
I take each letter in my mouth
I taste it
as if each contains
a little bit of you

And with my Dutch accent
and the tender tone of love
I make your name
sound
as unique as you are
