A breath-taking, sweet, gentle,
sensual scent
that is sprinkled on my heart
and that tingles on my skin
A delicate odor of spring flowers
that makes my butterflies
whirl up and go wild

Wherever I go,
there’s a cloud of you
around me
I breathe you in
You penetrate all of my pores
So that within and without
I’m immersed in my eau de parfum

from the paper for too long
They creep, crawl, jump
and dance towards it
as if they crave and miss
the white sheet
on which they want to be written
As if the paper is you

The Autumn storm came last night
It took away my voice
and left behind a burning
inflammation in my throat
that keeps the words stuck
as I cannot vocalize

But listen, my love
Hear my voice within you
Only you can hear me
as I continue to speak
with you in your heart

The rose doesn’t feel well
Her head hangs down
She feels sick, weak and tired
I nourish her,
make a quiet place,
protect her space
so she can rest

I blow the worries from her petals
and caress her with loving words
I let her lean against a stick
so she can still stand upright
and receive the light of her beloved,
the sun

I take good care of her
that precious rose in me
’cause what’s dear to you
is dear to me
And as I take care of me
I take care of us

When the world around you
comes down
Your tears keep flowing
You have so much worries
on your mind
When you toss and turn
in your bed
and can’t find your dreams
Then, my darling,
seek comfort in my heart
for I hold you there
always in love

put on my dancing shoes
to burn up the dance floor
together with you

What more could a poetess wish for
than to let her words dance
with those of her poet
To let images, metaphors and letters
make love with each other
and let them merge rhythmically
into one, musical poem

To dance the night away,
the stars from the sky
the ink from the paper
To step out of the lines
and even make poetry
of silence

I want to be so naked with you
No defenses, no fears, no shame
Undressed and uncovered
My skin transparent
To let your eyes glide
over every spot of my body,
let them look into my mind and
gaze into my heart
Like your eyes are my own
I dance in your presence
in nothing but nakedness
in raw emotions, pure relaxation
And just be completely myself
The me I can only be with you
The you you can only be with me

will you embrace
the part of me that is afraid
and doesn’t dare to trust,
the part of me that does believe,
the part of me that’s in her strength,

guilty and bad,
that is harsh and judges herself

and self-compassionate

On this dark day in Autumn
Rain falls from the sky
Leaves fall from the trees
Tears fall from my eyes
as I cry myself free from old emotions
to make room for the new
I cuddle up inside
by the home fire of our love

You were hurting yourself
I was hurting you

When your shadows came out
You were a mirror and
you showed me mine

So it’s not so much about
forgiving you
but it’s about healing
and forgiving ourselves
So that instead of shadows
Our mirror will reflect
even more of this pure love

For through ourselves
we love each other
Through each other
we love ourselves

and negative emotions,
Our hearts are like
the transparant glass
of a prism
They radiate the white light
of our love
in all the colours

the less I say
For sometimes,
words cover up
what is only meant to be felt
Like a blanket over the heart
that I pull aside

my prayers
are like a flock of birds
that fly out in unison towards you
Together they make
a whirling, waving pattern
in the shape of a heart
for they all hold
a piece of the love

‘I choose truth,’ she said
‘Do you love him?’
‘Yes I do’

‘Truth or dare,’ they asked
‘I dare,’ she said
They gave her
a challenge to prove:
‘Love him’

And so she loved him,
even when it rained and thundered,
even when the earth shook,
even when she needed
to have patience,
even when she was blindfolded,
She dared and
she spoke the truth

It may seem like I’m a wild rose
that dances freely around
in the meadows of poetry
unreachable almost
that you can sing and dream about
and that you can only watch
from afar

But my darling, get your hands on me
sense my velvety soft skin
underneath your fingertips
For I was not only made to fit
into your heart, fit into your gaze
and fit into your dreams
But I was also shaped to fit
perfectly into your hands and arms

A sacred flow
of truth and love
that bonds us
through time,
dimensions and space
Energetically we always
complement and balance,
work closely together
and help each other out

The accordion starts to play
You look me fiery into my eyes
Your arm around my waist
Your other hand seeks mine
They fall into each other
We fall into place

It takes our feet that follow our hearts
It takes one step and then the others
Quick rhythms and abrupt pauses
Still postures and long movements
Your lips that almost touch mine
And then an arm length between us
Moves that are synchronized
Opposite positions sometimes
Though we dance in perfect balance

It takes passion and desire
It takes melancholy and longing
It takes the flame of true love
It takes our bodies, our soul
It takes the masculine and feminine
For it takes two to tango

your burden
to be lighter

is in front of us

Let’s take our paintbrush
and combine the hot,
passionate, fierce energy of red
with the calm, flowing stability of blue
to colour our world purple
as we blend fire and water into one
And like lavender,
in purple it all looks so
sweet and peaceful
cosmic and spiritual
but we won’t forget that
even if the blue may colour it cooler
purple is still made of red

No linear steps on a calendar

So many thoughts in my head
Rough-edged and angular
Negative clutter that blocks my way
and holds me back to move fluidly

I release the cords attached to them
I let them go up in the air like balloons
I free myself and make room
to dream my dreams
and envision possibilities instead

And to love you endlessly
into all directions,
right where my feet are,
where they come from
and where they’re heading to
Into every corner of my reality
And to choose freedom
every single moment

is just a film
and not real

When I was born
I was not welcome
Many years I wandered
and was lost
I sought a place for me
in this world
and often feared
there was no such
But then I met you
and finally found
the place for me

expressions that are hard to translate
You can describe it but the words
don’t fully cover what is meant

And so, I cannot truly find the right words
to translate this love I feel for you
from the native language of my heart
into whatever language I choose

When they look at me they think
they see me
but what they see is only an image
and a story they projected themselves

scary and illusive
