Sun, why are you smiling
when I walk here in sadness
and yearning
Is it because you see the bigger
picture high up there in the sky?
Is it to tell me not to look back
but to keep moving forward
and to let what’s ahead shine
brightly in my face
as you melt the snow for me
and clear my path
