Authenticity

I don’t write with the aim to get likes
to get fans or followers
I don’t adjust my lines,
adjust my colours to what others
may wish to see

But I write because I write,
because I am, because of love
Like a flower I bloom
my poems into the world
And simply do what I’m made for
