Heartbreaking

There is always the whisper inside
that says ‘I miss you’
I try to cover it with optimistic poetry
But sometimes,
it is a heartbreaking scream
That, with all its force,
breaks through the ceiling
And leaves me wretched
among shattered pieces of
heart and words
