I tried to write
the most depressing,
heartbreaking, desperate,
bad scenario poems
but then my muse of love
takes over the pen
and writes it back
to hope

Super full moon, pull
everything out of me
that isn’t of the purest love
all the dark thoughts,
the fear narratives,
the pain, the missing him
so I can shine fuller
with love

Thoughts of you
pop up like
colourful heather
on bare sand dunes

When time takes so long – too long
and every more day
feels like a mountain
in front of me
and I look for you, where you are
are you already coming
I use the wings of love to go up
and see from above
What is beneath perceived
as time distance
is in fact just one big now
What seems to be over there
is always here

I miss you, I miss you,
screams the voice
in my head

How can you miss
someone who
lives inside of you
who is as close
as your own heart
and will never cross
the border of your skin,
whispers the voice of love

When the ego yells,
rages, cries,
stamps its feet
like a dark cloud
that causes rain
and thunder
I let the sun
of my love for you
embrace it with its rays
and shine through it

I can write to anyone
and send my letters,
my stories and poems
into the world
but my words only
truly come alive
when they can dance
to you

Water is rolling towards me
threateningly
and I look over
to the other side
that beckons and calls me
so far it seems
so close it feels
the heart already grasps
what the eyes yet
cannot hold
for it knows
it has wings to fly

It knows that
on the other side
of the ocean,
of fear,
of separation

of my words,
leave the styled
sentences
behind me
and rush towards
the finish line
of this poem
as I burst
to just write down

The past is like an old coat
that we can take off
for it doesn’t suit us anymore
We’re not who we were
but who we have become

Souls meet in the night
dance and make love
Not bounded
to thoughts or skin
they touch more intimately
than hands can
and go deeper within

As eyes move
back and forward
in the dark
between memories
and visions
they write you
letter after letter
on the pages of the night
and tell you
everything about
what they see
when they look deep
into love

Moon, where are you
as it is so dark outside
My love, where are you
as my arms have nothing
to hold

Are you there, within me
as it is so bright inside
and where the heart has
the whole universe to hold

It’s when the body hurts
and is exhausted,
the head badly aches,
the mind is numb
that the heart still loves
passionately
and dances on
and on and on

here in these streets
Free is the mind,
free is the heart
What are you waiting for

When there’s a heavy cloud
above my head
that rains ‘I miss you’s’
I take a happy thought,
a dream of you and me
to rise up and fly
in blue, vast skies
and leave the clouds
far underneath me

I seek the sun outside
but all I see is darkness
I seek colours
but instead,
find a grey world
pictured in black and white

Then love lights up
in the heart
And I understand
Rainbows aren’t made
in the sky
for no matter how dark it gets
out there,
we carry the light within
and thus,
are our own hope

Right when I’m falling,
angels grab me
and hold me upright
urge me to believe
as they sing
of a new dawn that
is coming

Fields stretch out before me
as far as the eyes can see
Birds surf the wind
in an endless sky
Nothing that can hinder the wind
to freely breathe out its air
Nothing that can hinder my heart
And I feel how vast our love is

Just like me, the owl
doesn’t sleep
this night
I listen to its hoot
as I write with eyes
that can see
you
in the dark
and then I hoo-hoo
my poems
to you who can hear
me
from afar

Thinking of you
as the wind howls
its heart out
with longing
and I watch clouds
cry their tears
that run down the windows
Love puts its warm arms
around me
and shows me
a rainbow inside

from overseas
whispering your name
Do you hear the ocean waves
rolling verses on your shore
Do you hear the birds
echoing a heart song
Do you hear the fire
crackling desires
Do you hear love
calling out to you

like eagles
As they have you
on their radar
they can cross

and the darkness scares you
I will kiss a sunrise

I have a ballroom for us to dance in
A flower garden to walk through
A sacred place to always sink deep
in each other’s arms
A bed of rose petals to make love on
A starry sky to shoot our dreams in
An infinite paper to write poetry on
Here in my heart space
