Enough

I may be not like all the others
with their perfect pictures,
perfect art
I’m like the wind
and blow my words
into a poem
without knowing in advance
how they will land

I’m not the others
but I’m me
Enough to fit
perfectly into your heart

Harmony

I look up to let my eyes fly
along with birds
I sing a song
and let my fingers
dance on strings
I think of you and let poetry
well up in me
to find harmony
in chords, in words, in love
when in and around me
it seems a shaky mess

Homecoming

And I come home
after a strenuous day
I turn the key,
open the door
sit down, sigh,
think of you
and come home
to love

And then outside
there may be chaos
it may storm, rain
and thunder,
in my heart
I’m warm and safe
with you

Full

In a dark night
when eyes miss
and distance hurts
I go within
into the sacred temple
of the soul
where we are always
in each other’s arms
where we dance together
throughout eternity
And I let the love and light
that we share
penetrate every cell of my body
Until I float among the stars
and I’m as full and bright
as the moon
Full of me and you

I See Us

It’s not always easy to see
more than other people can see
to see beyond horizons,
beyond time, form, stories and pain
To see light in all its colours
but to also see uncomfortable shadows
But whatever I see,
whatever truths my third eye
may reveal,
in the midst of all of it
I always see me and you

Lullaby

In the silent cold winter night
pain thunders in the head
and wakes up too many thoughts
The body lies still
and the heart sings a soft lullaby
that all is safe and well
that there is love, there is us
to put pain and thoughts to sleep
